Let’s be honest – if you were to list in order the professions you would normally trust and faith in – ‘Real Estate Agent’ perhaps wouldn’t be very high on your list. Not as far down as Car Salesperson – but not far off.

So it was that when I decided to sell my substantial property in Glebe earlier this year, I ran the gauntlet of meeting with several Real Estate Agents, including the larger agencies in the area. I requested and received marketing plans and recommendations on methods of sale (Auction versus For Sale etc.). All but one recommended I go to Auction (and in a market best described as ‘tragic’). All but one put marketing plans to me around the 20k figure, pages and pages of print advertisement I was paying for. All but one failed to impress me in just about every respect – the exception was Mari-Luise Agius and her team at Zello in Glebe.

From the moment I first met with Mari-Luise I was impressed with her. She was forthright but listened to my thoughts on my property and how it should be marketed. Mari-Luise and her team thought outside the square with their marketing plan and the result was a new record sale for my street in Glebe.

I would also point out that the care and understanding they gave to us during the whole inspection and sale process and even long afterwards, went well beyond the call of what one would expect. They even had three staff covering our open inspections, with some of her team even coming in on their days off just to help out and put us at ease.

Mari-Luise is a great negotiator, in fact, one of the best I’ve ever met. Since in my field I do precisely that and have done on a daily basis for more than twenty five years, I do know a great negotiator when I meet one.

I have no hesitation in recommending to you Mari-Luise Agius and her ‘Dream Team’ at Zello in Glebe and will have no hesitation myself in using them again in the future.

In closing, I am reminded of that old television commercial. The one with the slogan ‘oils ain’t oils’. Well, all I can tell you friend is – ‘AGENTS AREN’T AGENTS’…
